Regenerative hydraulics is a proven technology that has improved the speed and efficiency of hydraulic presses. One popular advantage to regenerative hydraulic circuits is the horsepower reduction created in the main drive motor. Traditional systems that require high flow rates also require large pumps and substantial power systems.
When regenerative hydraulics is utilized, high speeds can be obtained through low horsepower drives, smaller pumps and efficient valving. Regenerative hydraulic systems have gained additional popularity by decreasing everyday operating costs and long-term maintenance costs.
As energy costs continue to rise, daily energy consumption will play an increasingly more important role for every manufacturer regardless of size. Even small manufacturers will be able to see tangible production cost savings by using more energy efficient equipment.
